Milo And Al Ikhsan Sports Usher 15 000 Students Back To School Safely With Energising Goodness Care Packages

Secondary schools nationwide began to spring to life early April after months of home-based learning and teaching under the second Movement Control Order. The return of face-to-face learning was highly anticipated especially by Form 1 students who, having experienced the transition to secondary school at home, were looking forward to reconnecting with their teachers and friends in school.

To commemorate this significant occasion, MILO® and Al-Ikhsan Sports joined forces to welcome back 15,000 secondary school students across 10 schools in Kuala Lumpur with back-to-school care packages. Each care package consisted of back-to-school essentials such as notebooks, hand sanitizers and wet wipes to help students start face-to-face learning safely. It also came with MILO® Activ-Go Plus Fibre with which students can pair their breakfasts at home for an energised start to their day, as well as MILO® UHT to help them keep going with the energising goodness of MILO® on-the-go as offline classes are now back in full swing.

Students also received RM20 gift vouchers courtesy of Al-Ikhsan Sports for them to redeem when purchasing back-to-school supplies from any Al-Ikhsan Sports store.

Teachers of SMK Zon R1 Wangsa Maju and MILO® Malaysia are all smiles behind the face masks commemorating the return of face-to-face learning with back-to-school care packages from MILO® and Al Ikhsan Sports.
Delivered via the iconic MILO® vans in compliance with strict safety protocols, the care packages were distributed to the schools in collaboration with the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Education Department, between 5 and 12 April. SMK Zon R1 Wangsa Maju, SMK Taman Seri Rampai and SMK Bandar Tasik Selatan were among the schools selected for this programme.

Sharing the excitement with the students on their first week back in school, Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Officer – MILO®, Nestlé Malaysia Berhad said, “MILO® champions the energy of our students taking on a full day of school after prolonged periods of home-based learning. While these unprecedented times may have compelled us to do things differently, the importance of maintaining good nutrition remains unchanged. Therefore, we continue to strengthen our role to nourish our students with the goodness of MILO® for everyday energy to help them achieve their everyday potential.”

MILO® field promotion officers, or fondly known as Abang MILO® unloads boxes of the back-to-school care packages for distribution to students of the selected school.
“Recognising the resilience, perseverance and never-give-up attitude of champions that these students have shown during this difficult time, we and our partners at Al-Ikhsan Sports hope our contribution will help to further lift their spirits up and encourage them to go even further in the new school year,” she added.

Nourishing Malaysians for over 70 years, MILO® is made from the goodness of malt barley, milk and cocoa with a combination of essential 6 vitamins and 3 minerals that helps to unlock the energy from the food you eat. The new MILO® Activ-Go Plus Fibre packs even more goodness, with 2.5 times fibre and 50% less added sugar (sucrose) compared to the regular MILO® Activ-Go. In line with its brand purpose, MILO® is committed to supporting Malaysians to lead healthy, active lifestyles through its various grassroots sport initiatives.

MILO® partnered Al-Ikhsan Sports in conjunction with the recent back-to-school season to help students return to school safely. Al-Ikhsan Sports offers over 100 back-to-school essentials at winning, affordable prices from as low as RM15.
