Former Penang Exco Danny Law Quits Dap
Former Penang tourism exco Danny Law Heng Kiang has left DAP, said Penang DAP secretary Lim Hui Ying.
Lim said that Law (above) submitted his resignation letter today but did not disclose the reasons for his departure.
“The Penang DAP committee respects his decision and thanks him for his service when he was in the party,” she said in a statement.
Law was first elected as Batu Lanchang assemblyperson in 1999 but the seat fell to Gerakan in the 2004 elections.
He was then elected in 2008 and represented the seat until 2018. During this time he also served as the state exco for tourism development and culture.
However, Law did not contest in the 2018 general election and his seat was taken up by party colleague Ong Ah Teong.
