Dr M Bn Picked Orang Asli Candidate To Trick The Community

CAMERON HIGHLANDS: Umno is only using Barisan Nasional’s by-election candidate Ramli Mohd Nor for its own gain, says Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad
He said Umno chose Ramli, an orang asli, to trick the community into supporting them
“So they have an orang asli candidate, but it is to trick the orang asli community
“They don’t love the orang asli. They only love positions,” Dr Mahathir said in his speech during a programme with the people at Dataran Sungai Koyan here on Friday (Jan 25)
“Umno has no future, so why still support them?” he asked
“It is already a broken party and a lot of people want to join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and Pakatan Harapan,” he added
Apart from slamming former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Dr Mahathir also turned his guns on Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
He said in the 22 years when he was the Prime Minister, Barisan always won a two-thirds majority in general elections
“And for 22 years as Umno President, I did not steal money. I quit Umno because the party has changed
"It has become a parti penyamun (Robbers’ Party),” he said
“Pak Lah gave to all his grandchildren and family. He lost five states and the Federal Territory,” he added
Dr Mahathir said Pakatan want good and honest people to run the country
“We want people like Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tun Hussein Onn, but not people like Pak Lah or Najib,” he said
Tomorrow’s polls will see Ramli take on Pakatan’s M. Manogaran and two independent candidates, Wong Seng Yee and Sallehudin Ab Talib.-Star
