Cops Wrap Up Probe Into Beaten In Anwar S Office Claim
Police have completed their investigations into the alleged assault which took place at PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's office in Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya
Selangor CID chief Fadzil Ahmat said the investigation papers (IP) would be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor for further action
"Yes, we have recorded statements from all the parties involved and completed the investigations... We will send the IP to the DPP soon," he said when met at the Selangor police headquarters in Shah Alam today
The report was filed by a 26-year-old man last month, who claimed that Anwar's political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak assaulted him at the premises
The man also submitted a medical report from a private hospital regarding the alleged injuries he sustained during the incident

The PKR president's press secretary, Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the complainant was a part-time researcher who purportedly had discipline problems, including drug abuse
According to him, the researcher has since been terminated due to these issues
Tunku Nashrul said witnesses, who were present in the office, revealed that the researcher had prior injuries and not as a result of the alleged incident
“Witnesses also said the individual entered the premises without permission on the day of the incident
“There were no untoward incidents which took place as claimed by the individual,” he added
