Civil War In Bn How The Mps Stack Up
Thirty-one Barisan Nasional MPs are said to have declared their support for the Perikatan Nasional government until next month’s crucial vote in Parliament.PETALING JAYA: The split in Barisan Nasional (BN) has now been made clear with claims of 31 of the coalition’s 42 MPs openly declaring their continued support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
Deputy prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who revealed this at a press conference today, said these BN MPs were merely complying with the King’s decree for them to continue supporting the PN administration until the confidence vote in Parliament next month.
Although only 18 of them were on stage with him, Ismail said the remaining 12 MPs were unable to be present for various reasons but they had pledged their support for PN and Muhyiddin.
