Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the asymptomatic 46-year-old patient tested positive for Covid-19 before she was about to undergo chemotherapy at a medical centre in the district.
"The index case and her family members had dinner with 20 people at a restaurant on March 5. Close contact tracing is still ongoing," he said in a statement, adding that the cluster has 17 cases for now.
Sabah recorded 31 new Covid-19 cases with a death each in Kinabatangan and Sandakan.
Semporna, which used to have the highest number of Covid-19 cases, now joins Tongod as a green zone district.
Meanwhile, Masidi said the state government has allowed buffets at all hotels and accommodations with strict standard operating procedures on Covid-19.
"Restaurants at the hotels can accept guests in groups by ensuring physical distancing among them, depending on the capacity of the premises.
"The dining time can be scheduled accordingly to overcrowding."
As for the Qing Ming festival, it can be observed from March 20 until April 4 between 5am until 6pm.
Family members should not exceed six people at one time at the tombs and have to be one metre apart from each other.
"They have to wear face masks, scan the MySejahtera QR code and disperse right after the ritual, for which they are only allowed to stay for an hour and 30 minutes.
"Family members who are sick and symptomatic are not allowed to come in, while senior citizens and children below 12 are discouraged from attending." - NST
