Bukit Aman Questions Mentega Terbang Director
Bukit Aman has summoned film director Mohd Khairi Anwar Jailani today to record his statement on the controversial ‘Mentega Terbang’ movie, which allegedly goes against the Muslim creed.
Khairi, who showed up at the police headquarters with his lawyer Zaid Malek, was seen leaving Bukit Aman around 12.15pm after being questioned for about two hours.
“Today we gave our statement and good cooperation with the police,” he said.
Also present was one of the ‘Mentega Terbang’ actors, Arjun Thanaraju, with his lawyer Mahajoth Singh.
The case is being investigated under Section 289A of the Penal Code, Section 505(b) of the same act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said Jakim will submit a detailed review to the Communications and Multimedia Commission so that action can be taken according to the law.
The Federal Territories Islamic Department (Jawi) was also asked to summon those involved in the film’s production for further action, he added.
On Feb 28, Putra had lodged a report with the police urging for investigations into the film on whether it contained elements against Islam. - Mkini
