Azmin Ali betrayed PKR and Pakatan Harapan once too often and needs to be eliminated The Kajang Move or Langkah Kajang was mooted soon after GE13 in May 2013. The purpose of the Kajang Move was to replace Khalid Ibrahim as the Selangor Menteri Besar. And the person who will take over as the new Selangor MB was supposed to be Anwar Ibrahim.
The Kajang by-election was held ten months later on 23rd March 2014 but Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail contested that by-election instead. In July, PKR and DAP nominated Dr Wan Azizah as the new Menteri Besar. PAS, however, did not support the nomination and instead proposed Azmin Ali.
Khalid Ibrahim eventually resigned as the Selangor Menteri Besar on 26th August 2014 and Azmin Ali took over on 23rd September 2014. DAP was so upset with PAS that they closed down Pakatan Rakyat and formed a new coalition minus PAS called Pakatan Harapan.
But then His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor wanted Azmin and not Dr Wan Azizah so PAS just turut titah. DAP, however, wanted PAS to defy the Sultan, something PAS would never do.
Hence DAP and PKR never wanted Azmin since 2013. But they punished PAS instead of Azmin (to prevent a split in the party).

Amirudin Shari is Azmin’s bagman who collects the under-the-table money from developers, contractors and sand-mining companies  In 2018, Pakatan Harapan (PKR, PPBM, DAP and Amanah) wanted Dr Idris Ahmad to replace Azmin as the new Selangor Menteri Besar. Azmin, however, wanted his man, Amirudin Shari, his bagman who was responsible for collecting money on the multi-million deals they made with developers, contractors and sand-mining companies since 2008.
For the second time Azmin hijacked the post of Selangor Menteri Besar. And, added to the post of Economic Affairs Minister, which means he is able to “shadow” Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng plus block Anwar Ibrahim from becoming Prime Minister, the decision was made that Azmin had to be eliminated.
