Anti Govt Banners Put Up In Several Towns
The banner in Paya Besar, Kuantan, and the one in Chukai, Kemaman.PETALING JAYA: Banners hitting out at the government have popped up in several towns, as Malaysia continues to suffer from the ongoing health and economic crises.
Twitter user @HermyRahim posted pictures of the banners, most of which were put up in Kuantan, Pahang, while other netizens called for more to be displayed as they voiced their disgruntlement with Putrajaya.
Banners were hung on pedestrian bridges in Beserah, Kampung Air Puteh and Paya Besar in Kuantan, taking aim at ministers and politicians for ignoring the people’s problems.
They were also spotted in the PAS-led state of Terengganu, with one banner in Chukai, Kemaman, saying: “The people are suffering, while the stupid government is hungry for power.”
The effigy found in Melaka.Just a few days ago, an effigy was found hanging from the Jalan Tun Abdul Razak-Ayer Keroh bridge with the words “Kerajaan Pembunuh” painted on it, before being taken down by police.
Melaka police opened an investigation into the matter under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult to cause provocation and disrupt public peace after a police report was lodged.
