Act Of Betrayal Pn Days Are Numbered
I HEARD today that Perikatan Nasional is formally registered, WITHOUT UMNO! The parties in the ally are Star, Bersatu, PAS and MIC.
If its true, then UMNO president Zahid Hamidi must take up a stand. I believe he will not be happy with the news since its ally in Muafakat Nasional, PAS is now with PM Muhyiddin Yassin. I don't know as to whether it will have destructive bearings on MN in the come general election but PAS is against its own word should it joins PN.
Bersatu secretary-general 'Hamzah Larut' is said to have registered PN with the Registrar of Society (ROS) yesterday, an agency under his Home Ministry supervision, that it was made without a single hassle and with the 'blessing' of Muhyiddin.
How could that be?
In his media conference on July 30, Zahid said UMNO was not joining PN since it was already a component of Barisan Nasional (BN). They must understand. Maybe PAS is free to join PN but the future of MN is in question.
MIC, another component party of BN is said to have joined PN because somebody said 'all parties have agreed to join it'. Huhhh!
Well, what's going to happen to the government in the next few days or week, only God knows. Muhyiddin seems to be digging his own grave by letting PN registration. Furthermore, he made Zahid a liar when the Bagan Datuk Member of Parliment (MP) said at the same media conference that the PM has hinted that Bersatu wanted to join Muafakat Nasional. And that is detrimental to Zahid.
Had it happened, this is a blatant act of betrayal for the party which pushed Muhyiddin up as the prime minister. It also means he doesn't need UMNO anymore, and that UMNO is his political platform to the No.1 seat.
Fine, I think Zahid must reconsider his MPs involvement in the Cabinet. Retract their SD, maybe three or four is enough to lead to his crumble). I am sure there are disgruntled UMNO MPs over the registration.
Easy. To punish Muhyiddin and PN is easy. There will be one or two government Bills at the Dewan Rakyat this week that need all MPs on PN side to say 'Aye'. Without one or two, it will land in the dustbin, and this includes the RM45 billion already forked out for Covid-19.
Imagine what would happen should some UMNO MPs do not vote or abstain from voting. Forget about those already in the Cabinet and GLCs because they are now at comfort.
Whatever it is, PN needs to be taught a good lesson about 'camaraderie'. Pulling out of the government will be the best option for UMNO since Zahid had made it clear that UMNO will only support Muhyiddin until the next polls.
Good, make it earlier... any decision will lead to Parliament dissolution! Make sure that UMNO contest all the 16 parliamentary seats taken away by its 'frogs MPs" after the GE14, including Larut. Don't compromise anymore should Muhyiddin and Hamzah just want their respective posts.
