Pakistan In Serious Turmoil

 Ok Imran Khan is still alive.  Thats the news coming out from Pakistan. But the protests are still continuing. Here is a brief news video. The protesters are shouting in the Pashto language. Imran Khan is a Pushtun and his supporters are the Pushtun people - the same people who are Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan.  The Pakistani Army is controlled by the Punjabis. Oh oh. 


There are other major bungles going on in Pakistan. This time the idiot at the center of the bungling is this guy - Pakistan's "ex" Chief of Army and  "ex" Chief of Armed Forces since 29th November. His name is Asim Munir.
 
As you are reading this, he has been seriously outsmarted by Nawaz Sharif, the "ex" Pakistani PM who now lives in London and Dubai.  Nawaz is the brother of the present Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif. Its all in the family.  Latest news is that just yesterday 2nd December 2025 Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan where he landed in Lahore Airport (not at Islamabad).
Asim Munir is most certainly behind the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir which triggered the FOUR day war between India and Pakistan (Ops Sindoor) which mauled Pakistan and destroyed their nuclear arsenal. 
Unfazed, Asim Munir declared victory and was promoted to Field Marshal of the Army. Or had himself promoted to Field Marshal. Not stopping there he was then made Chief of Armed Forces of Pakistan - a position that did not exist before. This made him in charge of the Army, Navy and Air Force.  Not stopping there the Pakistan constitution was amended (the 27th Amendment) which gave the Chief of Armed Forces super expanded powers not only over the Armed Forces but made him immune from legal liability - he need not answer in any Court for his actions. This was setting the stage for a possible coup de etat - which is par for Pakistan.
It is apparent now that another Pakistani general Pervez Musharaf engineered the Kargil War with India to also boost his own image. The Kargil War lasted three months from May to July 1999 and three months later in October 1999 General Musharaf overthrew prime minister Nawaz Sharif and grabbed power for nine years. 
Perhaps the same playbook is being used now. Except for one small glitch. The tenure of "Field Marshal" Asim Munir ended on 29th November 2025. He is no more Army Chief or Head of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.  It was thought that his tenure would be extended. But until today 3rd December 2025 he has not been given official NOTIFICATION from the prime minister Shebaz Sharif of any extension of his contract. So he has been removed from the equation. So the situation in Pakistan right now is pretty tense. No new Chief of Army or Chief of Armed Forces has been named yet - in a nuclear armed country.
Over in Balochistan, the capital city of Quetta is said to be "isolated". Meaning the Baloch insurgents have completely taken over and the Pakistani government has no more authority in Quetta. Of course I cannot vouch for this - this could be hype but the Baloch do hold the ground.
President Trump has also gone quiet on Pakistan. Pakistan has 'volunteered' to participate in an Islamic peace keeping force in Gaza. Big big mistake. You either shoot at the Hamas or shoot at the Israelis. You really do not want to do that. Because they shoot back.
But Gunners Shot suggests that the next tranche of a US$1.5 billion IMF loan to Pakistan is conditional upon Pakistan helping out in Gaza. Without that US$1.5 billion Pakistan will go belly up.  
This is a very troubled country.
